This charming Mercedes Decanter is made by “RUDDSPEED Ltd, England, Reg. Design“

This Decanter is constructed with a heavy chromium-plated metal case surrounding a glass container. A slot in the back of the casing allows the contents to be viewed, which is covered by Baize cloth at the bottom. Features include a small, authentic-looking Mercedes badge located on the front. The finish is of very high quality. Like a Mercedes, it exudes exceptional quality.

The Ruddspeed company of Worthing produced these famous Radiator Grill Decanters in limited quantities during the 1960s. There was a famous series of radiator grill decanters manufactured, including Mercedes grill decanters, Bugatti grill decanters featuring black and chrome grills, Jaguar decanters, Rolls Royce decanters with flat-screw radiator caps, and Bentley decanters featuring green, charcoal and chrome radiator grills, as well as the Spirit of Ecstasy Decanter. A number of high-quality shops and garages in the UK sold these luxury decanters in the 1960s, including Harrods of London.
