Antique French Mahogany jewellery box with bold brass corner brackets for added strength. With bold shield shape escutcheon and matching finger tab. The top of the box has a large flush fitting brass carry handle.

The interior is lined in bright red paper and velvet, with the underside of the lid having a latched cover.

The main lock keep has the makers name engraved into the brass. “Charriere A Paris”
