Unusual shaped Coromandel writing boxwith ornate brass bands, inset with stunning banded Agates.

The interior features a black leather writing surface with gold tooling. The top half of the writing slope lifts to reveal a large storage space lined in contrasting exotic satinwood. This also reveals a small brass plaque on the back of the writing surface which reads:
J Sampson. Coney St York The domed top of the box lifts to reveal beautiful purple silk backing and several compartments lined with purple leather. With a pen tray, and two original brass screw top ink wells.

This exquisite writing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
