Description

Silver-plated Hukin & Heath Cocktail Fruit Squeezer including Cocktail Shaker. This eye-catching fruit squeezer in the shape of a Lemon has a turned wooden press with a screw handle that is the style of a tree branch. With four rings for holding lemons, limes and oranges and quite rare two bottle holders for your favourite boozy liqueur or spirits for a cheeky cocktail or two. Hanging from the sides are three utensils, silver gilded spoons and a crusher.

The body of the fruit squeezer has a registered design number: 78211. The underside of the iconic fruit squeezer has the Hukin & Heath Hallmarks with the number 4771 and Albert Barker, 5 New Bond Street. London. W.

Albert Barker was a partner in Thornhills London from 1875 to 1885 and was known as a Silversmith but also a retailer of goods such as jewellery, cutlery and boxes. They were known sellers of luxury goods and held royal warrants for their fine pieces.

Attributed to designer Christopher Dresser who used silversmiths Hukin & Heath at this time for many of his pieces.

A great Iconic talking piece for any dinner party.
