Here we have a charming Antique Coromandel Jewellery Box which has Brass edging, and a Brass escutcheon and hinges.

Inside the box is a protective royal-blue velvet-lined interior, with a ruched velvet-backed reversible mirror housed in the lid, behind this, is a leather letter compartment. The main interior features a removable lined jewellery tray; underneath this is a small space for more storage.

On the left-hand side of the open box is a small brass button which causes a side drawer to spring open. We later discovered that this same mechanism can also be found on the back edge of the open box, causing the drawer at the front of the box to spring open! Both of these drawers contain padded velvet, making them the perfect safe protection for storing your extra precious items.

This Jewellery Box is in full working order with an operational lock which works with a pretty tasselled key.
