This is a charming paper-scroll Sewing Box which has decorative blue, cream & faded gold scrolling, with Harewood surroundings and chequered edging.
This rare paper-scroll sewing box’s interior is lined with pink paper. Some sealing wax covering two holes can be seen on the bottom of the box… we presume this may have been for a netting box. The box is also weighted with lead at the base.
This Paper Scroll Sewing Box is complete with a fully working lock and its own tasselled key.
