The interior of this superb French glove box is lined in its original silk velvet which is in super condition. The lock is inscribed: Peret 13 Rue Montmorency (au Marais) Paris. Peret amongst other the finest manufacturers and retailers were based within very close proximity to the Palais Royal in Paris; some located in grand arcades within the grounds of the palace itself, known as the Galeries du Palais Royal.
