Wonderful luxurious Antique jewellery box veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with brass edging and double stringing on the top and front. The top with a large ornate engraved vacant initial plate, sides having to elegant flush fitting engraved handles and two brass barrell escutcheons.

Opening this magnificent antique jewellery box reveals a dark violet velvet based compartments with maroon silk lined sides. The underside of the lid has a gold tooled letter compartment which is held in place by a brass clasp. Folding this down reveals a gold tooled makers label of “F. L Hausburg”.

The main jewellery tray features seven padded compartments, two of which are ideal for holding, rings, earrings, cufflinks or even spare watch straps. Underneath this main jewellery tray is a single large padded storage compartment.

The front of the box has a lockable drawer which has three large padded compartments. This is perfect for keeping those precious items extra safe.

This jewellery box comes with two fully working locks, both operated by the same key. A spare key is included. This box features spring loaded locks much like a Bramah lock, which require the keys to be pressed into the lock whilst turning. They must be turned clockwise to unlock.
