Antique Coromandel Jewellery Boxwith brass edges, brass stringing framing an engraved pewter inlay, has brass initial plate again surrounded by the fine brass stringing and engraved pewter.

The interior of this exquisite antique jewellery box is lined in maroon leather and silk velvet with gold tooled edges. The box features a brass handled removable tray with several compartments. Including three for rings, earrings or cufflinks.

The lid houses a removable velvet backed mirror that is released by pressing the top edge of the open lid, allowing the top of the mirror to pivot forward out of the lid for removal.

On the back edge of the open box is a ornate brass button which can be pressed to gain access to the hidden drawer at the front of the box. This drawer contains further storage compartments lined in silk and silk velvet. Including another padded section for rings, earings or cufflinks and also space for a fob watch and chain. This hidden drawer is perfect for those most precious items.

This antique coromandel jewellery box comes with a fully working Bramah lock and tasselled key. The Bramah locks are spring loaded meaning the key has to be pressed into the lock before turning.
