Antique Coromandel Jewellery Boxwith brass edges, initial plate and escutcheon.

The interior is lined with gold tooled leather and off white silk bases and features ornate brass corner supports, hinge and edging surrounding a padded free standing mirror housed in the lid. Behind the mirror is a leather letter compartment.

This jewellery box features two hidden sprung drawers. The front drawer can be accessed by pressing the brass button on the back edge of the open box. The drawer has several compartments including a place for rings, earrings or cufflinks all housed under a padded lid to keep those precious items protected.

The drawer to the side of the box is accessed by pressing the brass button on the left hand edge of the open box.

This jewellery box comes with a fully working Bramah Lock and tasselled key.
Bramah locks are spring loaded and require the key to be pressed into the lock whilst turning to lock and unlock.
