Apothecary Box made of solid Mahogany with flush fitting campaign brass carrying handle, double opening lockable doors, has secret Poison compartment & is fully fitted with all of its original contents.
This superb Antique Apothecary / Medical Box contains, thirty six bottles some with original potions and labels, pestle & mortar, brass & iron scales with its weights, A glass funnel and measuring tube. One of the larger bottles has a chip on the bottom rear corner.
To gain access to the secret poison compartment you first have to open the cabinet, the front right hand side above the top hinge has a clasp which you need to pull out a small distance, turning the apothecary box round to face the back, placing your hand on the upper back compartment you should be able to slide the back towards you revealing its secret Poisons compartment.
